Indialantic is nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River. This small town with a population of just under 3,000 offers a variety of recreational opportunities for residents and visitors including boating, fishing, surfing, walking and biking. COMMUNITY
Indialantic is a beach town, through and through. Even away from the water the spirit of the beach is evident in the storefronts, restaurants, and overall atmosphere.
A ride down any residential street will leave you with sights of surfboards and small boats. The excitement about being outdoors is contagious when coupled with the beautiful scenery and fantastic South Florida weather.
SCHOOLS
As Indialantic is a small beach-side town, many students travel off the barrier island to attend school in Melbourne, which is home to a public, private, charter, and magnet schools. However, there are some options close to home. Indialantic Elementary School for grades K–5 is one of the most highly rated elementary schools in the area and is quite exclusive to residents of Indialantic only.
Those looking for post-secondary school options are within a nearby commute to Indian River State College. The University of Central Florida and Florida Atlantic University Honors College are also just short drives away north and south, respectively.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Make no mistake, the primary point of interest for Indialantic is the beach. However, there are plenty of additional attractions in the area. With Melbourne close by, residents have many options for wonderful shopping experiences just down the road. Orlando is also nearby, just over an hour away, and is home to some of the best theme parks in the world.
Indialantic is just over two hours north of Miami and about an hour north of West Palm Beach, which are both home to many exciting venues, restaurants, museums and of course, more beaches.
